In the Philippines there are many stray dogs "Askal". Most of the stray dogs chase people and sometimes the people who get chase my stray dogs get bit. If you got bitten by stray dogs, you will automatically get a rabies. Rabies is a vaccine-preventable viral disease which occurs in more than 150 countries and territories. Dogs are the source of the vast majority of human rabies deaths, contributing up to 99% of all rabies transmissions to humans.Infection causes tens of thousands of deaths every year, mostly in Asia and Africa.40% of people who are bitten by suspect rabid animals are children under 15 years of age. Every year, more than 15 million people worldwide receive a post-bite vaccination. This is estimated to prevent hundreds of thousands of rabies deaths annually. Thing's To Do When You Get Bit By Stray Dogs or any Dogs To Prevent Dog Bites
- 1. Place a clean towel over the injury to stop any bleeding.
- 2. Try to keep the injured area elevated.
- 3. Wash the bite carefully with soap and water.
- 4. Apply a sterile bandage to the wound.
- 5. Apply antibiotic ointment to the injury every day to prevent infection.
To Prevent Dog Bites
